After a nearly two-year process, our Plymouth location is now successfully off the ground and rapidly growing. I can now get back to some of the things I really enjoy. This newsletter is one of them! Let me send out a big THANK YOU to all of you for helping make our salon the success it is. Also, I want to offer a welcome to many of you who found us through our recent five-visit sampling program sold through the AdEfx Company. Much has been going on here at HotLocks! We’ve had a few team members move on and we’ve hired some new and familiar faces! Who can forget Courtney! Courtney will be doing nails 2 nights a week for the summer. Maybe you can convince her to stay on longer! We also have a NEW Rising Star Program that you can read about later in this issue. It’s a new concept for us that is working and you’ll be very pleased with the results. We Guarantee It! We are finding our way now that Carol and I own 2 locations. It has and continues to be a learning process. For one, I’m not in the Falmouth location as much as I used to be. Not seeing the familiar faces is something I do miss. I have changed my schedule so that I can be in Falmouth on Wednesday mornings and on Friday afternoons. I am available to perform salon services during those times. Our new Plymouth SalonSpa is a refreshing challenge. Our staff, coming from various other area salons and spas, requires me to spend much of my time coaching them our philosophies on how we operate. After all, we have a system that has worked well in Falmouth, and bringing it to Plymouth is my goal. As my leadership team emerges, I will be spending more time in Falmouth styling hair. I must admit, I’m having a lot of fun styling hair again! Over the years, we have facilitated many great promotions and events to “keep things interesting for you! “ We had to put some of those promotions and events on the back burner while getting our second location off the ground. I’m thrilled to say they’re coming back - bigger and better than ever! I’ve always been one to add value to your visits and my philosophy hasn’t changed. Prayer for Payton Last November at our Plymouth SalonSpa, we held a charity Cut-A-Thon to benefit Payton Randall, a local child diagnosed with Leukemia. Our staff worked for six hours and 100% of the donated proceeds went directly to help support Payton’s family. Our efforts resulted in $1500 in donations and local paper coverage that helped raise awareness of this very worthy cause. Payton is still undergoing treatments and is doing very well. LOCKS of LOVE For the second year in a row, our team has participated in the” Relay for Life’s” Lock’s of Love Cut-A-Thon. About 15 young ladies donated at least 10 inches of their hair to the organization so wigs could be made for those in need.
